Calendars

Accepted district assessment dates are posted into an online calendar. Any printed version is considered a draft of the accepted calendar. Please contact your school for their scheduled testing dates.

• State Assessment Calendar 
  • The WIDA Screener is administered to identify and support students who are learning English. This assessment is administered within the student's first 10-days of in-person school attendance. 
  • Although an assessment, WaKIDS is better known as an 'inventory of skills' as students begin Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten. With the support of our student's families, this assessment is administered in small increments between August 29-November 15, 2023. 
  • Students who are identified as English Language Learners will take a WIDA assessment to determine their English language levels and student eligibility for English language services. Your child's school will nest their testing schedule between January 29-March 22, 2024.
  • Springtime state and federally required assessments are scheduled by OSPI from April - June. Students in grades 3-8, 10 will be tested once in English-language Arts and Mathematics. Students in grades 5, 8, 11 will test once for Science. Schools create their own testing schedule and will nest their shorter testing window during the state's April-June testing window.
