Panthers Earn State Academic Championship — On and Off the Court

Wenatchee High School's Boys Basketball team has something to celebrate that goes beyond the scoreboard.
The Panther Boys Basketball program has been named the 4A WIAA Academic State Champions, earning the highest combined GPA of all 4A boys basketball teams in Washington State — an outstanding 3.742.
That number represents late nights balancing homework and practice, the discipline to show up fully in the classroom and on the court, and a team culture that takes both seriously. These young men didn't just build something special this season — they set a standard for what it means to be a student athlete at Wenatchee High School.
Coach Drake will lead the team to the WIAA 4A State Championships on March 7 at the Tacoma Dome, where they will be recognized during the 4A State Championship game in front of a statewide audience.
We couldn't be prouder. Please join us in congratulating the Panther Boys Basketball team on this well-earned honor. WE Are Wenatchee.
