Budget Prioritization Survey Results and Workshop

The Wenatchee School District has released data collected from a recent budget prioritization survey and will hold a budget workshop for the school board to review the findings and establish the next steps in the budget reduction process.

Over 1,000 people completed the online survey which ran January 24 - February 3. The survey was created to collect input on district priorities that will be used to guide budget adjustments for 2019-20 due to an estimated $5.2 million budget deficit.

Survey results are now available at wenatcheeschools.org/budget.

The school board will hold a budget workshop on February 6 from 5- 7 p.m. at the District’s central office (235 Sunset Ave.) to review the survey data, take public comment and establish next steps in the budget reduction process.

The Board will take action on budget adjustments at their regularly scheduled meeting on February 12.
