The team will hold their first meeting today, December 10th, and will meet monthly to help WSD set a course for the next five years through the development of a new strategic plan. The plan will ultimately include a shortlist of high-impact priorities and measurable goals focused on improving outcomes for students, a mission, and a vision.

Over 34 parents and community members submitted their names to fill a limited number of seats on the team. “This was a very difficult decision,” said Wenatchee School District Superintendent, Dr. Paul Gordon. “I was so impressed with the interest level, caliber, and diversity of the parents and community members that submitted their names for consideration. This really speaks volumes to the vested interests our stakeholders have in the success of our schools.”
