Volunteer committee members are needed to develop pro and con statements for the Wenatchee School District’s proposed capital bond on the November 3, 2026 ballot. The statements will be published in the local voters’ pamphlet, which is mailed to voters in advance of the election. State law requires that volunteers reside within the District.
The School Board will appoint up to three members to serve on each of the Pro Committee and Con Committee. The Pro Committee will write a statement supporting the measure, and the Con Committee will write a statement opposing the measure. Each committee will also have the opportunity to write a rebuttal to the opposing statement.
The proposed capital bond would fund construction of a new Wenatchee High School and make safety, health, and building system improvements across schools in the district, including updates to heating, ventilation, and air quality systems.
To apply, please email the following information to Diana Haglund, Communications Director, at haglund.d@wenatcheeschools.org by Monday, June 1, 2026:
