Any child aged 18 or under can eat lunch for free in Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Rock Island, and Cashmere this summer.
Wenatchee School District is sponsoring free breakfast and lunch for anyone 18 and under at Columbia Elementary from June 20th to July 21st (600 Alaska Street in Wenatchee). Breakfast will be served from 7:30am to 8:00am and lunch from 10:45am to 12:15pm. Scratch cooked lunches for all sites will be prepared by Wenatchee School District kitchen staff.
Thanks to a continuing collaboration between Wenatchee School District Food Service and Small Miracles non-profit, hungry children will be fed nutritious meals often with locally sourced ingredients. These two organizations are working under the US Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) to help kids get the nutrition they need to learn, play, and grow, throughout the summer months so they can return to school in September ready to learn.
